Neck

Step 1/14

centimeter

Place the measuring tape around your neck just below your Adam's apple. Face straight ahead. Put one finger between the tape and your neck if you want extra space for comfort.

Chest

Step 2/14

centimeter

Measure around your chest at its widest point, just beneath your armpits. Make sure the tape measure is level all around. Relax and take a normal breath. Hold it. Done.

Waist

Step 3/14

centimeter

The waist measurement is the distance around the fullest part of your belly. This will usually be around your belly button. Make sure the tape measure is level all around. This measurement will not necessarily be the same as the waistline of your pants.

Hip

Step 4/14

centimeter

Locate your hip bones on both side and run the tape measure around. Ensure the tape measure is level.

Seat

Step 5/14

centimeter

The seat measurement is the distance around your buttocks at its widest part. Make sure the tape measure is level all around.

Shirt length

Step 6/14

centimeter

Measure from the top of your shoulder, at the base of the side of your neck, and run it down to where you want the shirt to end. A good neutral point is in line with your first thumb joint, which is also usually the bottom of your buttocks. Tucked/untucked? Make it slightly longer/shorter if you're sure to wear it one way and not the other.

Shoulder width

Step 7/14

centimeter

Find the bones at the top edge of each of your shoulders. Measure between these points, following the natural curve of your back.

Arm length

Step 8/14

centimeter

Relax your shoulders and let your arms hang free. Don't straighten them unnaturally. Put the top of the tape measure at the top edge of your shoulder, where you finished the shoulder measurement earlier, and measure straight down to where you want the sleeve to end. A good rule of thumb is to let it end about 2 cm short of the first knuckle of, well, your thumb.

Biceps

Step 9/14

centimeter

Relax your arms at your sides. Measure around your biceps at their widest part in line with your nipples. No need to flex.

Wrist

Step 10/14

centimeter

Measure around your wrist, just below the wrist bone. Keep the tape measure close to your skin. We will add extra space for movement.
